Meet Dr. Amona anderson
Your circumstances shape your story.
They don't have to write the ending.
Dr. Amona Anderson is a speaker, educator, veteran, entrepreneur, mother, grandmother, and leader whose career has spanned more than 20 years of military service, federal government, human resources, higher education, and workforce development.
Her path has never followed one straight line.
She has learned how to navigate the moments that require us to stop, reassess, adapt, and decide what comes next, even in the most challenging of circumstances.
Dr. Amona has built a career around helping people, and herself, move forward - whether moving through a new chapter, making a difficult decision, transforming a workplace challenge, or going through a major life transition.
This is at the heart of how she speaks.
There comes a point when you have to stop asking, “Why is this happening?” and start asking, “What am I going to do next?”
Her message is simple:
You are one decision away from changing your life.
Based in Texas, Dr. Amona Anderson is available for speaking engagements nationwide and is happy to travel to bring her message to audiences across the country.
WHAT SHE KNOWS NOW
Dr. Amona's work and passion for speaking didn’t simply grow from the accomplishments, training, and experience you see below.
It grew from the unexpected, what she had to overcome to have the life she has now.
At 14 year old, she became a teenage mom. A few years later, at 18, she became addicted to drugs.
She had to make a decision about which direction her life was going to go. She had to choose even when the answer didn’t seem clear.
From grieving the loss of her adult son, being addicted to drubs, and navigating difficult family relationships to excelling in the military, government, and higher education, all while starting a nonprofit and becoming an entrepreneur.
Dr. Amona speaks with the authority, empathy, and passion of having lived it. One chapter ending does not mean the story is over. You are one decision away from what happens next.
